Experience

As a Claims Executive, Miulan manages the claims process and serves as an advocate on behalf of our clients. Her overall responsibility is to see that our claims reporting and advocacy services are conducted expediently and that final resolutions are fair and reasonable.

Miulan has more than 40 years of insurance experience, having worked for insurance conglomerates, independent adjusting firms, and as the claims manager for a large self-insured rental company. She has experience with a wide variety of insurance claims, including general and automobile liability, property, workers’ compensation, and claims litigation.

In addition to claims management, Miulan works directly with our clients to develop and implement claims reporting and handling procedures for their companies. She assists our larger accounts in the third-party administrator (TPA) selection process, as well as evaluation of TPA performance levels and services.

Miulan joined King & Neel in October 2005. She was born and raised on the Big Island, and earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology and social science from the University of Hawaii at Hilo. She is a licensed claims adjuster and is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation.
