Risk Control Specialist

Experience

Arthur is a Risk Control Specialist at King & Neel. He is responsible for consulting and working collaboratively with clients to manage their safety, health, environmental, and liability exposures. Arthur analyzes workplace exposures, provides technical assistance, and incorporates proactive best practices and regulatory standards to improve and develop existing and new programs. He also works with clients to monitor and assess the effectiveness of their overall safety program, and provides coaching and training facilitation for management and front line workers in support of their programs and practices.

Prior to joining King & Neel, Arthur worked for a safety consulting firm as a safety and security representative, providing safety and security oversight to the state’s largest civil construction project. He also has experience working for a concrete and aggregate producer as a safety and administrative intern, where he conducted workplace audits, policy review and revision, training, and executed the company’s transition to an online safety data sheet management system.

Arthur has a degree in occupational and environmental safety management. He also holds the Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), and Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) professional designations.

Arthur is an active member and current membership chair of the Hawaii Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), and the current president elect of the Hawaii Local Section of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA). He was born in Honolulu, and raised in Waipahu, Hawaii. He attended Saint Louis High School, and currently resides on Oahu.
